Most airborne systems are constrained by fuel, batteries, or fixed mission windows. A different engineering question is whether a high-altitude platform can remain on station long enough to support disaster response, communications, and atmospheric research without constant return cycles. The challenge combines aerodynamics, energy management, autonomy, sensing, and operational resilience into a single system architecture.
